Guaranteed action with 20 people in Lisbon calls for the return of international trains
The great maneuvers of the night with the pandemic were suspended for Madrid and Hendaye, where part of the journey was made for two years with suspended covid-19 pandemics.
Today, an initiative optimized by the Aterra movement – Air Traffic Reduction Campaign and for a Fair and Ecological Mobility has replaced the service offer to the sound of music and dance steps, with some of the participating dresses in pajamas or bathrobes, with pillows or stuffed animals in their hands and some passersby watching.
At the same time, Madrid staged a similar protest, also in the form of a ‘flash mob’, and the same was expected in Hendaye, France, where passengers used to transfer to Paris.
“A is maintaining and improving actions in Europe, but Portugal is late, we are isolated”, lamented to Lusa Anne Fat, a member of the Aterra movement who was accompanied by the dog “Yaku”.
In addition to the replacement of the Lusitânia, and Sud Expresso trains to Hendaye, the “simpler” more affordable fares and transport service for bicycles and pets.
Francisco Ferreira, president of the environmental association Zero, associated with the initiative. He didn’t dance, but watched the ‘flash mob’ dressed in pajamas, with a white pillow in his hand and holding a banner that read “Night trains, the overnight future”.
“The re-start of night nights from Poland is a holy undertaking, and it is possible from fair companies between governments, that the train “is the most sustainable means of transport in different countries” from an environmental point of view”.
