Admission chaos annoys fans – “just disappointing”
The reggae festival “Summer-Jam” at the Fühlinger See in Cologne is taking place again after two years. But on the very first day, fans showed a lot of patience.
The displeasure of the visitors of one of the largest reggae festivals in Europe is great. After two years, many were looking forward to the “Summerjam” at the Fühlinger See in Cologne. But on the very first day there were major problems getting in. As the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” reports, there were problems handing out the festival wristbands at the entrance.
The result was long queues. The organizers did not expect such a large rush of festival visitors, the organizers said on Friday. Similar to various airports, these would struggle with staff shortages.
Cologne: visitors mostly of the acts
The dissatisfaction of the visitors erupted above all in the social networks. There, fans were annoyed that they had missed many acts. They queued for an hour and a half to pick up their wristband. Another visitor expresses her disappointment on Facebook.
“If you still have to wait 3 hours in line at the gates in a queue full of people with a ticket in front of you, your heart bleeds. It’s a shame for the artists who deserve their audience and even sadder for the fans,” writes you. The organizers have since apologized, with the promise that there will be no such queues on the coming days of the festival.
