300 electric scooters, green in color and with a retro look, have been available for hire since Friday July 1 in Toulouse. The new operator who won the tender launched by the town hall is called YEGO.

The new scooters for rent in Toulouse are electric, green in color, with a retro look and are stamped with the name of YEGO, the company that won the contract.

Rented at the rate of 0.29 euro per minute (standard price excluding formula), they can circulate in the Toulouse hypercentre and in certain peripheral sectors of the metropolis (Cartoucherie, Zénith, Cépière, Borderouge, Stade E. Wallon, Roseraie, Côte paved, Paris barrier, Balma-Gramont, Montaudran, Paul Sabatier university).

To become a user of these new modes of travel, you must create an account. The rental and then the unlocking of the scooter are then managed automatically from the application.

Once the trip is over, the scooter – equipped with two helmets – must be parked in the dedicated spaces. The rental price includes insurance.

YEGO says it has created seven jobs in Toulouse to launch this new service. The company says the scooters are regularly serviced (“on average once every 1.2 days”) and self-diagnosed in real time on “key components like battery, motor and brakes.”
