Sweden’s entire 26-player European Championship squad for women 2022

Sweden has appointed a strong squad for the European Championships 2022 as they aim to win the title for the first time since 1984.

Captain Caroline Seger is part of her 13th major tournament, having earned 230 caps for the national team.

They reached the quarter-finals of the European Championship 2017 and the semi-finals of the World Cup 2019, with both withdrawals in the hands of the Netherlands. The semifinal 2019 was the last time they lost a match in normal time.

Sweden also won a silver medal at the Olympics in Tokyo this summer.

Coach Peter Gerhardsson’s squad consists of seven players from the Women’s Super League – Chelsea’s Zecira Musovic and Magdalena Eriksson, Everton’s Nathalie Bjorn and Hanna Bennison, Brighton’s Emma Kullberg, Manchester City’s Filippa Angeldahl and Arsenal’s Stina Blackstenius.
