Luxembourg: The Agricultural Fair in Ettelbruck taken by the children
Calves, cows, ponies, rabbits, hens, ducks… The Ettelbruck Agricultural Fair is “Luxembourg’s largest open-air exhibition” and the high mass of farmers, foresters, horticulturists and other agro-biotechnology scientists. But it is above all a source of wonder for the children who come in droves with their parents to sit on the tractors and pet the animals.
“In recent years, the fair has also become that of consumers and families,” agrees Michel Santer, one of the organizers. Friday, a caravan of animals will parade in Ettelbruck delighting the general public and “workshops will be organized for schoolchildren”. Throughout the Fair, there will be “demonstrations of agricultural machinery to explain their operation, competitions, equestrian shows… The Ardennes horse will be highlighted for its centenary”, details Michel Santer.
History of arousing vocations, high schools will present their sections and the various agricultural trades. We will also taste local products. “We will find the 38,000 visitors from before the pandemic,” smiles Michel Santer.
