In the team, we will also meet the former coach from the national team, Vladimír Weiss ul., but according to him, this was not the main reason for his arrival to “white”. He consulted his manager and family about it.
“After the end of my contract in England, I was looking for a club that would be closer to Slovakia. I already had the feeling that I would like to slowly return home or at least closer. I offer the ones I had, I liked the one the most. “Slovana, and I actually realized that when I sign with the Whites, I will finally be home again after thirteen years. I am very much looking forward to working at Slovan.” explained Kucka about his return to Slovakia, he was quoted by the official website of the Slovak Football Association.

What weighed in the decision?
Kucka decided to come to Slovan for various reasons: “The fact that I have known coach Vlad Weiss for many years, he led me in the national team, played a big role in my decision and final decision for Slovan. In addition, I also have all the decisions from the national team in the club. It is also the biggest club in our country, which has a large goals and for me it is a challenge, as I still wanted to help in the fulfillment of these goals.”
After Martin Škrtel and Vladimír Weiss Jr. Kucka is the third well-known Slovak representative in recent years who will play in the Fortuna League.
“When a player like Škrťo returns to Slovakia after many years, it should only have positive responses. I think that people must look forward to such a footballer, since he played many seasons in top clubs, but also for It was very nice when he decided to come back, but again I have to say that it had no direct influence on my consideration.” added Kucka.

We managed to meet the demanding requirements and, together with the enormous commitment of people from the Ministry of Economy, the SARIO Agency and the state-owned companies VIP and MH Invest II, contribute to the company’s decision that investing in Slovakia is worthwhile. I very much welcome the fact that Volvo is establishing a completely new plant for the production of electric cars in Slovakia, which is of particular importance at the moment. At the same time, I can say that today we managed to achieve another of our big goals – to bring a new investor to our east with a lot of direct and indirect job opportunities,” said Richard Sulík, Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
“I appreciate that Volvo Cars has decided to build its new plant in Slovakia. It shows their trust in us and trust in this country and its stability. The new Volvo Cars plant is important to us for two reasons. First, you will gain in eastern Slovakia, which will gradually improve the social and economic situation in the region.
Secondly, only electric cars will be produced at the plant, which represents the perspective of competitiveness in the new ecological era for the Slovak automobile industry,” said Eduard Heger, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic.
