The number of Covid-19 cases in Portugal dropped in Portugal between 21 and 27 June, compared to the previous seven days of analysis. The conclusion can be drawn from the most recent data released this Friday by the General Directorate of Health.
In this most recent period-73 were identified in Portugal 93 infections by SARS-CoV-2 — which is equivalent, in a daily20, to 10 cases.
In the previous week, it equated to 95.34 cases over seven days, or an average of 13 cases daily (approximately more than 3,145 daily).
These last seven days were analyzed, between the 21st and 27th, 146 deaths associated with covid-19 were also recorded – on average, 21 deaths daily – and a significant reduction in hospitalizations.
There are a record of 97 fewer deaths than in the previous seven days (243).
As for hospital occupancy in mainland Portugal by covid-19, the DGS released data on hospitalizations for the Monday before the report was published on Fridays.
Based on this last condition, the bulletin indicates that, on Monday, 1,441 people were hospitalized, compared to the same day of the previous week, with 81 patients in care units, minus four.
Also INSA Instituto Nacional de Saúde Ricardo Jorge – data worthy of respect for the country’s evolution compared to Covid-19.
In the INSA document, sent to the media, it is possible to read that “the number of new cases of infection by SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19, per 100,000 inhabitants, accumulated in the last 7 days, was 712 cases, with downward trend at the national level.
The incidence in the Algarve region showed a stable trend, while in the other health regions there is still a growing trend”,
