The plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine include the establishment of operational physical control over Zmiiny Island, and currently Ukraine controls it with the help of its Deputy Chief of the General Staff Oleksiy Gromov.

“The plans of the leadership and the Armed Forces are to establish my physical control over this. We are currently controlling with our weapons: long-range artillery, missile troops and aircraft,” Gromov said at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center on Thursday.

He clarified that the enemy left Snake Island after the Armed Forces forced it to do so for several days.
