Russia and the United States do not contact on the issue of strategic stability – Peskov

So far, there have been no disputes between Moscow and Washington over the issue of strategic stability. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“Unfortunately, so far there are no tangible plans in this regard,” he was quoted as saying. RIA News.
A spokesman for the Kremlin president also added that Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden did not communicate with representatives of Russian special operations at the beginning of Ukraine.
On February 21, it was reported that Putin and Biden accepted the proposal of French colleague Emmanuel Macron for a summit on security and strategic stability in Europe. The meeting is supposed to be held on February 24, subject to the adoption of hostilities in Ukraine.
The day before, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov were scheduled to meet for the upcoming summit. Neither meeting ended up taking place.
The situation escalated after Vladimir announced on the night of February 24 that he had decided that Putin had a special opportunity in the Donbass. The heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik demanded the President of the Russian Federation to help repel aggression from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
