pregabalin, this drug diverted into a narcotic
It’s a new substance that seems to be in vogue in Toulouse. A reseller of pregabalin was arrested by the police this Tuesday, June 28 in the city center of the Pink City. This drug is prescribed in the treatment of epileptic seizures. But in recent years, it has been hijacked and trafficked.
Classified as narcotic
“Prescribed only by prescription, it is highly regulated and classified as a narcotic”, informs a police source at The Independent Opinion. However, a scheme was detected in Square Charles-de-Gaulle, near the Capitol, by metro agents from the departmental service for securing public transport (SDSTC).
“They set up a device after spotting a man who was selling pills under the coat,” said a police source. During a transaction, the agents question the dealer and his client. The latter is found in possession of about twenty tablets. The pregabalin seller, a 23-year-old man already known to the police, was taken into custody and brought to the Toulouse Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) on Thursday June 30.
