Portugal stands out among the European Union with ultra-fast internet
Recently, the celebration of the World Day for Telecommunications and the Information Society brought a series of behaviors that analyze the presence of the internet in a global context. A survey was developed by the Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), which examined the internet in the country in comparison to the rest of the European Union.
However, in a society in which digital is increasingly present in their daily lives, problems related to the theme also arise. Among them, security in a virtual environment stands out, an issue that spends so much on privacy on social networks and, consequently, cyberbullying, as well as the protection of our online information, such as bank details.

Looking at the performance of the web in the national territory, and the way it is seen by the Portuguese, ANACOM compared the Portuguese services with the rest of the European Union during the course of 2021.

With regard to the different types of internet access, it was found that 81% of users access fixed broadband, as opposed to the general 77% in the European Union, and 47% use mobile broadband, numbers lower than the average of 58 % of the European Union.
On the other hand, ANACOM also allows the use of online tools. Among the favorite resources of the Portuguese, they stand out as networks, with Portuguese adhesion of 65%, with a probability of about 20% higher than the social data of the European Union. In addition, there is also a large use of digital content for education, corresponding to 27%, as opposed to 21% in the rest of the European Union.
