AS Monaco has decided to withdraw its reserve team from National 3 to register it in a new European championship linked to the Premier League.

In Monaco there will be changes for the youngsters of the reserve team! Through a press release, the Monegasques announced the withdrawal of their reserve team from the National 3 championship (5th level in France). AS Monaco is launching its “Elite” group which will now compete in the Premier League International Cup, “The Elite group will participate this season in a competition bringing together some of the best European clubs in the prestigious Premier League International Cup. This calendar will soon be completed by meetings against foreign clubs or French seniors“explains AS Monaco on its website. As a reminder, the AS Monaco reserve team was in reserve last season, they went down to National 3 after poor results. This new project has one goal, “The purpose of these new provisions is to optimize the training time of young players and to confront them more easily with the requirements of professionalism”the club explains itself in this same communicated.
