Hesdin, second favorite village of the French 2022
In 2018, the city of Cassel, located in the North, came first in the ranking.
“A very good second place”. The village of Hesdin, located in Pas-de-Calais, finished second in the ranking of the favorite village of the French 2022, just behind Bergheim (Haut-Rhin). A “feat” for the mayor of the village, who commented on his Facebook account on the results of the France Television program presented by Stéphane Bern.
“Hesdin takes a very good second place, he writes. While our city was in competition with municipalities that already enjoy a national reputation, our city achieves a feat.”
The city councilor notably thanked the inhabitants, traders, departmental and regional elected officials who participated in this success.
“A very nice recognition for the attractiveness” of the region
The reactions of elected officials to this ranking are not lacking. On the Twitter account of the Hauts-de-France region, we salute the result of the city and we welcome “a very good recognition for the attractiveness” of the region.
For his part, the mayor of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Daniel Fasquelle declared himself “very happy and proud for this second place”. “This distinction highlights our beautiful rurality in Pas-de-Calais and Hauts-de-France,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
The last time a city in Hauts-de-France ranked so well was in 2018 when the northern city of Cassel topped the rankings.
