Brutal heat: The daily heat record was broken in Hajdú-Bihar
Berettyóújfalu – According to preliminary data, the heat record was broken on June 30 as well. This time it was the hottest in Berettyóújfalu.
The National Meteorological Service said on its Facebook page on Thursday that so far the temperature measured on the 30th was 38.9 degrees Celsius in June, which was registered in Pécs in 1950.
It was now the warmest in Berettyóújfalu, where the temperature rose to 39.6 degrees. The meteor service predicts that a cold front will arrive at the end, which could result in showers and thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds in many places, but the heat will not ease much. Heat will drop to around 30 degrees in some places, but peaks above 35 degrees Celsius are still expected in many places.
On Fridays, the minima are usually between 17 and 23 degrees, but in cold-sensitive places the dawn can be a few degrees cooler. The temperature is expected to be between 33 and 39 degrees.
The national chief medical officer has extended the accurate third-degree heat alarm, originally scheduled for Monday until midnight on Thursday, until midnight next Monday.
