ASM officially announces the launch of its Elite group
Zapping Foot National Top 10: the best scorers in history in the France team
As mentioned earlier today, AS Monaco have decided to leave the FFF and form an elite group. Through an official press release, the ASM justified this choice which implies a withdrawal of its reserve from the National 3 championship. The club considers that this is the best solution in order to optimize the progress of its young players, who will now have a stronger link with the professional group. The Principality club will therefore take part in the Premier League International Cup and will be able to face European formations of players under the age of 23.
In the official statement of AS Monaco, sporting director Paul Mitchell justified this decision: “Through this new approach, the Club wishes to continue to strengthen the impact on the first team, like the nine players from the Academy having started with the pros for the past two seasons”, he explained while Pascal de Maesschalck, director of young player development at AS Monaco added: “In the search for the best training course, this opportunity is the best way to develop the various bridges in our current ecosystem, and bring AS Monaco and Cercle Bruges even closer together”.
🆕 The AS Monaco Academy is launching its Elite group, which will benefit from stronger links with the professional group and a new meeting schedule from this season.
