Trains between Prague and Beroun will be significantly reduced by a two-week suspension on the railway
/ VIDEO / Due to the exclusion on lines 170 Prague – Plzeň – Klatovy and 171 Prague – Beroun, passengers are worried. The Berounka expressways of the R17 line will not run and there will also be a significant restriction in the operation of suburban trains of the S7 line.

The lockout will begin on Thursday afternoon, June 30, and end on the evening of July 16. Buses will run between Prague and Beroun as a replacement for express trains.
“There will be two spare lines, one will go to the center of Prague to the Prague main railway station and the other will go to the Prague metro station Zličín, Stodůlky and to the stops Sídliště Stodůlky. In alternative transport, the transport of bicycles is limited. Only the last two pairs of Berounka express trains will continue to run directly without alternative transport, “said Petr Šťáhlavský, a spokesman for Czech Railways.
But people traveling from or to Beroun will not completely lose their express trains. During the closure, the EC / IC Západní expres trains, which go via Plzeň and Cheb to Munich and back, will stop here. The only exception will be the connections of the Pendolino set, which will still only pass through Beroun.
July changes in transport: short, for summer holidays and ‘forever’
The exclusion will also greatly affect the S7 suburban lines. Trains will run according to a special timetable. This changes the departure times of a large number of trains. “The inserted connections in the section Prague – Řevnice and back are canceled and the interval between trains Prague – Beroun and back is also adjusted. There will then be embedded reinforcements between the main railway station and Radotín, “said Šťáhlavský.
