PRAGUE

The electric car is too much in Prague. The city has to limit their free parking

Sugar Mizzy June 29, 2022

The proposal states that a parking car with an EL sign would apply only to persons with a city of permanent residence in Prague and entities with an office in Prague. The reason is the fact that the number of parking walls and the necessity of parking in them according to regulate. The scope and form will be advantageous to the subject of the implementation of legislative possibilities, which the capital city.

I support an outdoor electric car for moving around the city, I even often use one of the services in the city, but unfortunately Prague is not an inflatable, said one of the presenters, representative Tom Portlk. The original decision to have all emission-free or low-emission cars parked for free, regardless of the place of stay, was absolutely right, but the time has shifted. This type of car is very popular and we have to think primarily of Praguers, who lived here, and of entrepreneurs who do business in Prague and need to park in short.

No matter how many people buy an electric car, because they simply like it, their technical parameters suit them or fight against climate climate in this way, for a large number of customers, free parking throughout Prague is a very important motivating factor when buying an electric car. This is evidenced by the fact that more than half of most electric cars are registered in Prague and Central Bohemia. When we published these statistics from the Association of Car Importers last year, it was 66 percent.

Undoubtedly, it is the bottom and the purchasing power and the fact that in Prague there are many companies. Even cars purchased for operating leases are registered in Prague, where they share leasing companies. You do not endanger the implemented change. Of course, only until the deputy decides that even the electric car bust is too much in the capital. Now in Prague, people with a share and permanent residence outside Prague also do business or lived. Typically, it is the case around the metropolis that many people come out of the middle and first of all, the electric car is often presented as a full-fledged property.

The magistrate and the city, of course, must first decide on the parking lot according to their name and with the consent of the representative. Logically, it is not even around them to support the sale of electric cars, but as far as their environment in the capital is concerned, it is better when electric cars will drive to Stedoei. In any case, if this proposal passes, then no one should be surprised that the sale of electric cars in the Czech Republic will have a negative impact.

This is confirmed by Radek Matthey from the Czech representation of Peugeot: This decision of the master would probably have an impact on the sale of electrified cars, although I do not dare to quantify it as a percentage. In general, the salary that if benefits are added, the increase increases, if they take off, the decline decreases, and it would especially work in this case. However, it would mean a beneficial benefit where there are almost no days, especially if we compare it with other European states.

Piblin three years ago, the criteria for parking in the blue of various cities for classic hybrids were tightened. At the time, this was quite a significant motivation for customers to buy a vehicle with a hybrid drive, reminiscent of Martin Kadeka, head of sales of Volkswagen passenger cars. Today, the situation with the furnace is only a little longer and people are still dark, such as the combination of an electric car with home photovoltaics, including the possibility of recovering energy from the vehicle. Limited parking in Prague according to a public proposal would unfortunately have a negative impact on the sale of hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

In the case of the sale of electric cars of the BMW and MINI brands, you are a solid number of corporate customers, especially from Prague. The proposed change would therefore affect them at the edges, but for other customers it would be more noticeable, and when deciding on the type of drive of the new car, the influence of David Haidinger from BMW may be known.

Even a leasing company does not like this case, even though their client would not be limited. We do not consider this planned step to be an ideal one, to the general director of the company Arval Ale Polk. Arval’s goal is to promote electromobility, which is not the case. At present, electromobility on an equal footing is supported in the European comparison. The restriction, which the master of the capital is considering, according to our opinion, caused a negative emotion for the electric car. Our Arval Mobility Observatory survey shows that almost a quarter of companies are considering electric cars because they can drive to low-emission brands without any restrictions, so they can be parked. Therefore, one should not look for restrictions on which Czech companies discourage electric cars.

On the other hand, Pavel Jna spoke for iDNES.cz on the other hand: The parking lot in residential areas is just one of the benefits of electric cars, which our customers mention when buying these cars. Key parameters include service costs, cheaper operation, environmental friendliness, free operation and no noise in the car. In our opinion, the city and the municipality should continue to support low-emission vehicles and incentives of this type. Gradually join this trend e.g. Liberec, Plze, Ostrava and other cities have a convenient parking lot. However, we do not assume that a possible limited parking car with the EL registration mark on the blue ones in Prague will significantly reflect sales in the Czech Republic.
