Streetwork Liechtenstein concept adopted / The government and the conference of municipal leaders have adopted the Liechtenstein Streetwork concept.
In 2021, the government decided to set up a new range of services in the field of “Streetwork”. All eleven municipalities have joined the order and the financing. The aim of the project is to set up a low-threshold offer in the field of street work across communities. In 2022, the new government approved funds for the development of this range of services. The municipalities jointly provide the same amount.
Target group and goals of Streetwork Liechtenstein
The Streetwork Liechtenstein offer is aimed at all people who stay individually or in groups at locations or meeting points of their choice in the public or semi-public space of the Principality of Liechtenstein. The target group of Streetwork Liechtenstein is independent of gender, nationality and age of the people and regardless of where these people live within the country.
Organization and human resources
The Streetwork Liechtenstein offer is supported jointly by the state and municipalities and is managed equally by each. The Office for Social Services is responsible for operational responsibility. Central decisions (such as ordering and awarding contracts, evaluation) are made jointly by the state and municipalities. The congregations also ensure joint decision-making via the conference of heads. The Office for Social Services was commissioned by the government and the conference of municipal leaders in the course of the adoption of the concept to arrange for a public tender for a street work contract to an external service provider.
