Quasi triple victory for Austria in the young horse show jumping test
show jumping – At the start of the CSIO3* in Budapest (HUN), things went more than happily for the red-white-red jumping team: The young horse jumping competition for six and seven-year-old young horses had three local show jumpers on the podium. The Greek Angelos Touloupis (GRE), who lives in Austria, won the competition ahead of the two Amazons Alessandra Reich (OÖ) and Katharina Rhomberg (V).

The CSIO Budapest (HUN), which takes place from June 29th to July 2nd, started today with a virtual triple victory for the Austrian show jumpers.
In the first test of the day, a young horse show jumping test for six-year-old and seven-year-old horses over 125 and 130 cm, the Greek, Angelos Touloupis (GRE) showed the fastest clear round with the six-year-old Holsteiner stallion Kannandillo and thus secured victory.
Lands in second place Alessandra Reich (ÖÖ) with Galadermie PP Z, a six-year-old Zangersheide mare by George Z Catherine Rhomberg (V) on the third place. The Vorarlberg native had saddled Zarzuela Old, a seven-year-old Oldenburg mare bred to Diarado.

The first day of the tournament also went well for Christoph Obernauer (T): The Tyrolean was able to place sixth in the two-phase jumping test over 135 cm with his eight-year-old gelding Kleons Can Fly after Cassini II.
The highlight of the tournament will be the semifinals of the Longines EEF Series on Saturday (2 July) from 1.30 p.m. The concluding final of this series, in which the winning team can secure a place in the FEI Nations Cup, is hosted in Warsaw (POL) from September 8th to 11th.
