Damien Comolli, the president of the TFC, had announced a wave of recruits before June 30, and he kept his word. After winger Zakaria Aboukhlal and goalkeeper Kjetil Haug, Toulouse is on the verge of registering a third signing: that of Dutch striker Thijs Dallinga.

Top scorer in the Dutch second division last season with Excelsior (32 goals in 37 games), the 21-year-old center forward did not show up for his team’s training on Wednesday. Several Dutch media, including ESPN, announce that the reason for his absence is linked to his transfer to TFC.

The Haut-Garonne club, which had made an offer of 2 million euros, refused by Excelsior, returned to the charge with a second proposal of around 2.5 million according to various sources, and would be about to enlist the striker, who would come to compete with Rhys Healey on the front of the attack.
