The STAN movement has been shaken by one scandal after another before, and it seems that we are far from over. So what did the Guardians of Democracy themselves, like the Million Moments, who openly supported the Mayors? Except for a brief expression of regret. Instead, it was enough to praise the government for “deriving responsibility, unlike Babiš.” No apology to voters, no self-reflection. While their demonstrations at the Summer Preferences did not affect YES, the real danger of Babiš’s comeback, on the other hand, increased radically. No one suffers from the illusion that Million Moments was an independent association for a while, and few will go to demonstrate again at their command.

Hlubuček, Feri

The case has its parallels with the fall of Dominic Feri. Like Feri, STAN was a darling of the media mainstream. Centrally liberal orientation, photos with rainbow and European flags, fresh political alternatives. The best choice between the “conservative” ODS and the once anarchist Pirates, supported by strong support outside the big cities. For a time, the Mayors became the third largest political force in the republic.

However, the fall of STAN may not mean anything good for its competitors now. Resurrected memories of Radovan Krejčíř and the “old ODS,” together with the suspicion around Jiří Pospíšil from TOP 09, definitely do not benefit the Together coalition in Prague. The pirates also launched attacks on coalition partners when it was discovered that they had nominated a man attached to Hlubuček’s mafia circle to the supervisory board of the National Development Bank.

Until recently, it seemed that the only one he could help in Prague was Jan Čižinský and his political-marketing project Prague Sobě. After all, Čižinský is such a Babiš in Prague. Although butter also melts on his head, the communication skills of his PR team have always kept her in the relative favor of voters. But when it turned out that Deputy Mayor Adam Scheinherr in Hlubuček’s scandal by the famous “crown witness”, as his chief Čižinský was not in her media, it is obvious that Prague also has something to explain to himself in the Dosimeter case.

It is therefore confirmed that the entire current political establishment will be blasted in this election. Hypocrisy, corruption and broken promises in the midst of massive price increases and the energy crisis will shake party preferences like a whirlwind. however, because the people of Prague experienced theirs under the leadership of Krnáčová from ANO and electing the SPD is taboo, non-parliamentary groups, which are not so discredited, will benefit from the case. Only time will tell who manages to seize this opportunity.
