The Battai Sugar in Debrecen will be there at the World Fencing Championships
Debrecen – The presidency of the Hungarian Fencing Association (MVSZ) has appointed a team to travel to the Cairo World Championships, in which two changes were made to the European Championships, which ended a week ago.
Mohamed Aida violated the individual competition at the European Championships in Antalya, underwent a medical examination on Monday and was unable to take part in the World Cup. For the first time in the history of the sport, the Adult World Championships will be held in Cairo and the competitions will take place from 15 to 23 July. The last World Cup was in Budapest in 2019.
The presidency appointed the traveling team on the proposal of the head coaches and the federal captain Gábor Boczkó.
At the European Championships in Turkey on June 17-22, the Hungarians won a medal through the victory of the sword team of Áron Szilágyi, András Szatmári, Csanád Gémesi and Tamás Decsi.
