wedding stands! Festival bride and groom come from Cologne
Parookaville is much more than just a festival. If Corona doesn’t intervene, the area at Weeze Airport is transformed into a fictitious city in summer, which was lovingly built by the organizers. A church should not be missing in 2022 either – and so an official wedding will take place at the festival for the sixth time.
The lucky ones to be married by a registrar on Parookaville Friday are Sati and Jan from Cologne. The plan was not even forged together. “I did it on my own,” reveals the bride about her application in the “Rheinische Post”. When she told Jan, he was initially “baffled”.
However, he obviously didn’t think the idea was bad – just like the jury did with the application. An invitation to a Zoom call followed, in which the couple was allowed to introduce themselves. With success: the contract for the Parookaville wedding went to Cologne.
Parookaville Wedding: Wedding night on the dance floor
The wedding ceremony will be “all the more exciting” because Sati and Jan have never entered the Parookaville Church, despite having visited in the past. The premiere is now also on July 22 – and of course family and friends are there. Even Grandma Ingrid will attend the festival wedding at the proud age of 84. There’s a good chance she’ll become this year’s—and probably all time—Parookaville visitor’s introduction. It is not yet known which DJ from the line-up will be the best man.
But no matter how crazy their wedding may be, when it comes to outfits, Sati and Jan stay true to their wedding dress and suit. “However, we want to bring in the lightness of summer and the festival, with a linen suit for Jan, boho/vintage dress for Sati,” reveals the Cologne couple. The whole thing is to be rounded off with “festival highlights” such as glitter on the face. “A rainbow veil would also be cool,” says Sati.
By the way, the two want to spend their wedding night on the dance floor in front of the main stage. Then it’s off to Hotel De Poort in Goch. We wish you an unforgettable wedding!
