Terror, Domestic | The 22-year-old terrorist suspect has been extradited to Norway from Bulgaria
On Tuesday morning, the 22-year-old, who together with his little brother is charged with terrorist participation, will be produced for custody in Oslo District Court.
– He was transported to Norway on Monday and arrived at 23.30, writes the man’s defender, lawyer Farhad Shæriæti, in an SMS to TV 2.
The 22-year-old was arrested in Bulgaria a month ago. At the same time, his 18-year-old brother was arrested in Oslo. The 18-year-old has been in custody since. Both are Norwegian citizens.
In addition to terrorist involvement, they are accused of having supported al-Qaeda online. The support is about online activity on various platforms and forums, says police attorney Thomas Blom in the Police Security Service (PST).
“This is especially about spreading the message to al-Qaida, which we believe is a support activity for al-Qaida,” Blom told NTB after the arrest.
The defender says that the police are trying to conduct an interrogation of his client on Tuesday night, but he will not go further into how it went. The 22-year-old has not taken a position on the question of criminal guilt.
