San Marino Outlet Experience celebrates one year and thinks about new openings

Sugar Mizzy June 28, 2022

San Marino Outlet Experience, started among others by Borletti Group, and opened in 2021, is planning an expansion up to 25,000 square meters with 130 stores

San Marino outlet experience celebrated the first year of activity with initiatives dedicated to the public: live music, Fellini-style circus performances, maxi birthday cake and extraordinary commercial promotion for visitors to the center which, we remember, was promoted by Borletti Group, Aedes Sisiq, Goddess Real Estate Consultant And VLG Capital.

A San Marino outlet experience work more than 300 people, which is particularly important for the economic context of the Republic of San Marino and the surrounding areas. The extension of the area up to 25,000 sq m And 130 shopsfor a total investment of over 150 million euros.

San Marino Outlet Experience is spread over beyond 17,000 sqmhas covered parking 1,400 seats and an area reserved for electric vehicles with charging stations available free of charge. It houses international luxury brands and boutiques of clothing, accessories and home furnishings as well as lounge bars, cafes and restaurants. Totally in the open air, that is, without closed galleries, San Marino Outlet Experience fits into the territory with a pedestrian path along its promenade, which revolves around three large squares: Welcome Piazza, Square of events And Garden Square. The project is inspired by the local tradition and the historic center of the Republic of San Marino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, revisited in a contemporary version.

The structure complies with the Breeam protocol. Among the services there is also one Welcome lounge with multilingual staff, the tourist info point of the tourism office of the Republic of San Marino Visit San Marinofree wi-fi in all areas, a free equipped play area for families with children and 400 square meters of lounge for those looking for a private, exclusive and comfortable shopping experience.

“We managed the first year of the San Marino Outlet Experience -explains Maurizio Borletti, founder of the Borletti Group– aware of the difficulties imposed by the health emergency already present at the time of the opening and facing those deriving from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, confirming the expected confirmation of the positive data relating to the growth of brand awareness, new openings, hires and the influx of visitors. It is clear to everyone how the international panorama has changed in the meantime and with what difficulties we are forced to relate: the numbers are not yet those hypothesized in the development phase as the events took adequate times and measures to be fully absorbed, but evidence that the ” very high value and uniqueness of the project carried out allows to reach the set objectives and achieve, among other things, about 2 million visitors every year. San Marino is, in fact, by its very nature the ideal destination for a tourism in search of opportunities for culture, entertainment and shopping “.

For this summer, new openings and initiatives are planned dedicated to the audiences that the management has identified: collaborations with Papeete of Milano Marittima for Wednesday evening, the Drive-in for children Thursdays, an initiative dedicated to children who can watch animated films under the stars within the San Marino Outlet Experience and evening openings with shows for families. The development of a B2B network is planned for the involvement of tour operators, travel agencies and partners in the tourism sector, both private and public.

“We knew that the opening of the center at a time of shift to international mobility would have required a constant commitment to the search for changing objectives, with a target of changing objectives that was initially different from the one initially assumed. -explains Gabriele Cerminarageneral manager of Aedes Sisiq and president of The Market PropCo, owner of the San Marino Outlet Experience- but we were not surprised and thanks to our structure we have created specific campaigns and initiatives for the involvement of new customers. Today the data tells us that 65% of visitors come from Italy and the Republic of San Marino, while 35% are foreigners, of which 24% European and 11% non-European. These data confirm that thanks to the normalization of mobility and tourism and hoping for an improvement in the international situation, the quantity of flows, in particular from abroad, will be able to increase ”.
