Thus, according to Reuters estimates, the sulfur content in Urals oil, shipped to tankers in the port of Primorsk in May-June, amounted to only about 1.59%, while in this month the figure reached 1.64%. At the same time, over the expected period, consumption increased from 29.8 to 30.1 API levels, that is, oil became less “heavy”.

The content of sulfur in the Urals, produced for export from the port of Ust-Luga and via the Druzhba pipeline, also sank somewhat – from more than 1.7% in January to 1.66% in June. The density with this increase by 0.3 degrees API is from 30.3 to 30.6.

The absolute record for the protection of its characteristics is set by “black gold”, shipped through the port of Novorossiysk. The average sulfur content decreased from 1.55% to 1.42% while the amount increased from 29.5 to 30.65 API degrees.
