Move to Jesse Marsch’ Leeds? » offside.at
Several weeks ago, Red Bull Salzburg’s sporting director Christoph Freund stated that it would be very difficult to keep the Malian six Mohamed Camara. Now Premier League clubs are intensifying their courtship for the 22-year-old top player from Bamako.
The midfielder has been linked to top international clubs on several occasions. RB Leipzig is just as interested in a commitment as Premier League clubs Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United. The only question now seems to be which top player should replace.
Camara is in high demand at Brighton as Yves Bissouma has already been sold to Tottenham Hotspur and they need a hard-hitting and prudent midfielder to replace him. At Brighton, Camara would meet Enock Mwepu again, whom he knows from their times in Salzburg and Liefering.
But Leeds United also stepped up once more. Coached by ex-Salzburger Jesse Marsch, the club have already signed two Salzburg players in Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen and are preparing to replace Kalvin Phillips. The 26-year-old high-flyer is very popular with Manchester City and could peacocks still get lost.
According to the Salzburger Nachrichten, it is already clear that Mo Camara will leave Salzburg. Britain’s Daily Mail reports that Camara is a candidate at Leeds alongside Tyler Adams. The Bayern flop Marc Roca, who has already been committed, is not enough for Leeds to replace Phillips, who is likely to leave. Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth tweeted that Camara was the more expensive option for Leeds. Unlike Tyler Adams, Camara’s transfer fee should be beyond 20 million euros. Whether it’s Leeds or Brighton, it seems a done deal that Camara WILL NOT travel to the Red Bulls’ training camp again.
🗞 Leeds United’s Victor Orta is currently in talks with three targets to replace Kalvin Phillips.
RB Leipzig’s Tyler Adams🇺🇸 is in, while Red Bull Salzburg’s Mo Camara🇲🇱 is also being admired, with the latter being on the “more expensive end” of the options.
