Mario Götze and Ann-Kathrin move to Frankfurt
After leaving the club, Mario Götze also changes his place of residence. He will move to Frankfurt with his family.
It’s official: After moving to Eintracht, Mario Götze and his family are moving from Düsseldorf to Frankfurt. The 30-year-old confirmed this at a press conference on Tuesday: “My family definitely wants to move here. We will have the center of our lives here.” Understandable – after all, the Main metropolis recently took 7th place in the ranking of the most livable cities in the world. Götze knows that too, as he tells the conference.
Although he hasn’t had that many points of contact with the city in recent years, he already knows two friends there. “I’m looking forward to experiencing the city in a new way,” said the winning goal scorer in the 2014 World Cup final. His wife Ann-Kathrin also seems to be enthusiastic about the move. Already at the weekend she asked her community on her Instagram account to send her Frankfurt tips.

They were particularly interested in recommendations for beauty salons, restaurants and what the city on the Main has to offer for children – the latter is of course important for the two-year-old son Rome. Whether it’s a trendy trendy restaurant or a washed-out Eintracht-Ebbelwoi pub – you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in Frankfurt.
