In Austria: HSV coach Walter amazes his pros
He doesn’t take it easy on his players or himself. Tim Walter is totally in his element at the Austria training camp, the HSV coach is going full throttle. And especially on Monday evening, his legs must have hurt a lot…
Walter is leading the way in Styria, which is probably to be taken literally. On Monday morning, in dry heat and almost 30 degrees, the coach revealed that there was still a lot in him. Shortly before the end of the session, the 46-year-old completed twelve strenuous interval runs over 80 meters each with his coaching team led by Filip Tapalovic, Merlin Polzin, Julian Hübner and Sven Höh. The pros, who were already relaxing on the sidelines, were amazed.

Walter is full of energy in Austria, that becomes clear in every unit. He constantly comments on the actions of his players, praises and blames them. In the effective speeches, he has repeatedly called for increased concentration in the end: “We have to want the goals even more, men! We need more consistency.”

Walter hasn’t forgotten that HSV dropped too many points in the first two thirds of the pre-season because they often exploited opportunities. This also costs the direct ascent. He will start there this summer so that the leap into the Bundesliga succeeds this time.
