Heroines, arise! | Metropolis Rouen Normandy
The jury of the InstaMeet competition, organized by the Métropole and the Réunion des Musées Métropolitains, delivered its verdict on Thursday 23 June. An opportunity to reveal the talents of photographers and heroines of the territory.
We meet heroines every day. It is still necessary to have the eye to find them and make them even more visible. From April 26 to May 31, dozens of amateur photographers from the Métropole were able to take on this theme of Heroines to deliver their representation of these women, of yesterday and today, inspired and committed to defending their values. . So many inspirations that still carry us and help us build the future. Whether they come from sporting, associative, scientific, medical or literary backgrounds, they are all intended to guide us.
For Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, President of the Rouen Normandie Metropolis, Laurence Renou, Vice-President in charge of culture, Christine de Cintré, Delegate Metropolitan Councilor in charge of tourism and Rouen European Capital of Culture 2028, President of Rouen Normandie Tourism and Conventions, and Myriam Mulot, Vice-President in charge of the fight against discrimination, gender equality and disability: “It seems essential to us to know and highlight the amateur photographers who contribute through their passion to the notoriety of our territory and its landscapes. It makes it possible to evoke the women of the territory, inspiring for our present as for our future, from all walks of life.
