Finally, the Governing Council brought to the attention of the assembly two historical work hypotheses to be addressed in the next assembly to be held in the current year: the first concerns the entry of women into the SUMS, which until now by tradition and custom consolidated by the 1876 granted the registration only of San Marino citizens or residents of San Marino; the other concerns the possible merger with the Female Mutual Aid Society (the so-called “Female SUMS”) founded by SUMS in 1899 after 120 years of mutual legal, patrimonial and organizational autonomy, but also of purposes and social sharing of the same . Before the assembly that will have to take these historic decisions, the Governing Council will have to proceed with a consultation of the 1,000 registered members regarding the promised merger with the Female SUMS. SUMS thanks the members for their participation and wishes to congratulate the newly elected and the members of the board of directors and board of statutory auditors whose office has been renewed, wishing them a good job.
