A 26-year-old man abused
The duo indulged in a flood of insults, sometimes homophobic, sometimes transphobic, before physically threatening the man, manhandling him strongly. Requested by the agents of the inter-municipal bus company of the Annecy region (Sibra), the national police intervened to apprehend the duo and bring them back to the police station.
The victim, a 26-year-old from Annecy, filed a complaint. An investigation for public insults on the basis of sexual orientation has been opened. When heard, the two individuals of Afghan origin, with no known fixed address but residing in the Annecy basin, denied the facts. The exploitation of the video surveillance tapes of the bus should allow the investigators to confirm the exact product of the facts. The duo will soon be presented to a magistrate in charge of the legal proceedings.
