UNSC – Ushakov – Russia |
Moscow. 27th of June. Interfax – The exclusion of the Taliban (Taliban – banned in the Russian Federation Organization for the Elimination of the Consequences of War – IF) from the UN sanctions lists will be a condition for the recognition of the new powers of Afghanistan by Russia, said presidential aide Yury Ushakov.
“We are observing the new Afghan authorities towards the formation of an ethno-politically balanced level. It is necessary to intensify countering terrorist and drug threats, we pay great attention to the study of human rights manifestations,” he told reporters.
“If there is progress towards these goals, then a situation may arise that excludes the possibility of the functioning of the Taliban movement from the sanctions list of the UN Security Council.
Answering a clarifying question whether the Taliban should first be excluded from the UN Speech Lists, after which Russia will consider the possibility of their recognition, Ushakov said: recognitions and for certain steps through the UN Security Council were carried out.”
