The member of “Continuation of Change” has been appointed Deputy of Grozdan Karadzhov – Bulgaria
The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov has appointed Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivaylo Staykov, the government’s press service announced. Until now, Staykov was an adviser in the political cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development Grozdan Karadzhov, who was from the quota of “There is such a people” in the overthrown coalition government.
Before becoming Karadzhov’s adviser, Ivaylo Staykov was an MP from “We Continue Change”, although he will remain in the National Assembly for a few days, as he became an MP from Haskovo on December 15, 2021, after entering parliament in place of the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev, while Karadzhov’s adviser has been in office since January 1, 2022, after voluntarily resigning from his seat.
The prime minister also fired the deputy ministers of regional development, Yavor Penchev, Stefan Asparuhov and Deliana Ivanova. Penchev and Ivanova were also from the quota of “There is such a people”, as the two were accused by separatists from Slavi Trifonov’s party that they were connected with the “Delta Hill” circle, with which the Trifonov association was connected and the friend from 20 years Orlin Alexiev, who is a former municipal councilor of GERB in Sofia.
Staykov is presented as a master engineer in the specialty “Construction of buildings and facilities”, acquired at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG). Graduated from the postgraduate specialization “Construction Management and Investment Projects” – again at UACEG – Sofia. Staykov has solid experience in the organization and management of construction and investment projects in Bulgaria and abroad.
