That’s why you should order a towbar on the world’s fastest SUV
Aston Martin is not in the habit of being poked on the nose. But when they launched their very first SUV – DBX – it was a long way from being able to compete with the toughest competitors on the market.
We can not play like Audi RS Q8, BMW X6 Competition, Mercedes GLE 63 AMG 4Matic +. All with significantly more to refer to under the hood than the DBX. Not that it is in any way a bit of an effect in the latter’s 4-liter V8s, taken from AMG. 550 horsepower is enough for most.
But Aston Martin had a secret plan lying in the drawer. A super-version of the DBX – which they knew would overshadow all the previously mentioned models – and more. Both in terms of power and performance.
It has just been launched – has been given the eloquent name DBX707 – and we have to run it on track!

Special course
A short trip in a propeller plane from Copenhagen takes us to Hanover in Germany. From here we are transported on in an extended Audi A8 – with a driver in a black dress. Nothing swings in the waltz here, no.
After a few hours we arrive at the destination of the trip: Bilster Berg Drive Resort.
This course opened as broadcast as in 2013. It is referred to as a kind of «mini-Nürburgring», because it has a lot of height differences, 19 turns and some “blind” turns which can be really difficult.
It is Herman Tilke who has had the main responsibility for drawing it, a man who has made several Formula 1 tracks. And he has had the help of double WRC winner Walter Röhrl. So it is not something that is left to chance. A perfect place to let the DBX707 stretch your legs!
This is going to be an unforgettable day, there is no doubt about it.

Beats everyone
DBX707 got parts of the name due to the effect on the engine. You have 707 horsepower at your disposal. It even emphatically puts the Lamborghini Urus in place.
At the same time, both it and the Bentley Bentayga Speed itself – which has a twelve-cylinder engine – must see itself beaten at top speed: 310 km / h makes the DBX707 the fastest in the world.
Aston Martin has also made the design stand out a bit. Among other things, it is the larger grill – and some details on the rear that really stand out.
And here we come to why you should order this car with towbar. See both that and the full track test of our DBX707 in the clip at the top of the article.
