With the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Economic Affairs, the Lithuanian representatives discussed the opportunities that would help Lithuanian food products to establish themselves in the Taiwanese market. The possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding was discussed with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Taiwan Junne-Jih Chen, and questions were raised regarding the purchase of wheat.
At present, Lithuanian exports of agricultural and food products to Taiwan amount to almost 2 million. euros. This amount is expected to increase significantly with the issuance of export licenses.
