Have your say about the Ecological Map North
In 2020, the Noord district council drew up the Integral Landscape Map together with the residents involved. The map shows the area of greenery, water, cultural history and use. The Integral Landscape Map states that the district makes an ecological map. This will happen in 2022. You can join the conversation during a residents evening on 12 or 14 July.
Goal
North is growing fast. Many new homes are being built and traffic pressure is increasing strongly. When dividing the space it is important to be able to weigh the other functions.

The North Ecological Map consists of the ecological structures and important features of the ecology of land and water throughout North. We also indicate natural values, target species and vulnerable vulnerable places. We set opportunities and create them. The ecology of the built environment and opportunities for ecopassages are also part of the map.
Participation
The district invites interested parties in Noord for two participation rounds. During the first two residents’ evenings in July, the 50% version of the Ecological map version will be presented.
The program of these two evenings is the same. During the meetings, participants can give advice and their expertise in introducing the Ecological Map concept. They can also sign up for the core team, which consists of employees of the district and residents. This team is working together on the 80% version of the map that will be displayed during the second round of participation, in the autumn.
During the second round of participation, the city district explains what has been done with the expertise and advice and why. Participants will also have the opportunity to talk to the district.
