This is how the first HSV day in the Austria training camp went
The start of the training camp was a bit bumpy, but at the end of the day HSV was in a good mood. Arm in arm with top scorer Robert Glatzel, coach Tim Walter marched towards the team bus after the first session in Fürstenfeld. Austria got to know HSV from their best side at the start.
It was clear to Walter himself before he even took off from Fuhlsbüttel Airport that he in particular was seen as a beacon of hope. Even a police officer asked the 46-year-old for a selfie and was not alone. Walter obviously feels good about it, willingly and with a big grin fulfilled all wishes.

The coach nominated 22 field players and five goalkeepers for the one-week trip to Styria. But after boarding the machine, they initially looked rather sparingly from the wishes. Due to a lack of security forces on the ground, the Eurowings plane with the number 7758 was only able to take off for Vienna almost an hour later. The first HSV unit in Styria lasted 60 minutes
The bus then travels the 170 kilometers from Vienna to the team quarters “Das Sonnenreich” in Bad Loipersdorf. About an hour later, Walter asked his pros for the first session. It was an easy gallop that was 60 minutes longer, with captain Sebastian Schonlau only stepping back a little because of his foot problems.

From Sunday it should be much more strenuous for the pros. Walter has scheduled units for 10.30 a.m. and 6 p.m., temperatures of almost 30 degrees should then prevail. Much to the delight of around 20 HSV fans, who accompanied their team to Austria and followed the units on site.
