Szijjártó: Hungary is sending four million HUF Hungarian ambulance to Afghanistan
Hungary will provide HUF 2 million in emergency aid to help the victims of the earthquake in eastern Afghanistan through the Hungary Helps program, and the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Organization will join the action with an additional HUF 2 million, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his official Facebook page on Saturday.

In his post, Péter Szijjártó recalled that an earthquake of 5.9 magnitude had shaken the Paktika province in eastern Afghanistan in recent days and claimed the lives of more than 1,000 people and destroyed much of its infrastructure.
“We cannot change the tragedy, but we can alleviate the damage and the burden on people in distress. Therefore, Hungary provides HUF 2 million in emergency aid to help the victims of the earthquake through the Hungary Helps Program, to which the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Organization also joins with HUF 2 million.”Read in the entry.
Péter Szijjártó added that the total emergency aid of four million forints will be delivered to the disaster-stricken province of Afghanistan as soon as possible, as most of the key issues are to be able to help the people of the country quickly and locally by restoring living conditions as soon as possible.
