In Schwerin: Is the BSK Hannover-Seelze boxing for the championship title?
Arthur Mattheis’ team goes into the rematches with a slim lead. “We’ve already shown that we’re stable away from home,” says the coach. Second team championship after 2018 beckons.
Hanover. Shadow boxing is the order of the day before the rematch for the championship title. There is no training without an intended opponent. It should remain in the dark who will now compete in the decisive duel in the Boxing Bundesliga. In the Palmberg Arena in Schwerin, BSK Hannover-Seelze will compete on Saturday at 7 p.m. to win their second team championship after 2018. Host Traktor Schwerin could land a title hat-trick – the first in Bundesliga history. In Seelze, the BSK won 14:12, the cushion is also very thin. “But I don’t see us as outsiders. We’ve already shown that we’re stable away from home,” says BSK head coach Arthur Mattheis.
Just don’t waver now, the full concentration is on the end of the season. However, the BSK had to put up with setbacks, again two athletes were injured or ill. This is not only the case for the Seelzers throughout the season. Mattheis is rescheduling again and has filled one of the nine weight classes with a man previously unknown to the BSK. This is probably possible, although the boxers must have a German fight pass. “I’m tactical, there’s no other way. We are forced to react creatively to the failures,” says Mattheis.
