The last flight will be flown by Nordic Regional Airlines on a 100-seat Embraer E190. Finnair’s seasonal route was to run until 29 September, and no reason has been given to cancel it. The Helsinki-Zagreb route was launched on 1 May with three flights a week on Airbus A319 aircraft.
However, Finnair plans to return to Zagreb next year, on April 30, in three weeks on the same route. It is interesting to note that Finnair is the only airline operating on the Helsinki-Zagreb route. During the summer, Croatia Airlines flew between Helsinki and Zagreb in 2017, but the route was suspended due to a coronavirus pandemic and has not yet been restored, and there are no plans to restart the service. Finnair will continue flights to Split and Dubrovnik on October 29, ie until the end of the summer flight schedule.
This year, Finnair also terminated its plan for Ljubljana, which continued seasonally until the coronavirus pandemic and was scheduled to be relaunched this summer. However, the airline should return to Ljubljana from 2.5.2023 with four flights a week.
