Eight people are indicted for drug trafficking, clarification and association of criminals. The result of a survey carried out in Toulouse, Tarn and Pyrénées-Orientales since June 2021 on the importation of drugs from Spain and delivered to consumers at home.
2021, the Toulouse-Mirail research brigade was investigating a drug trafficking network between Haute-Garonne and Spain. Almost a year later, 10 people were arrested in Toulouse, in the department of Tarn and Pyrénées-Orientales. Eight of them are indicted for drug trafficking, money laundering and criminal associations indicated Friday, June 24 the Toulouse prosecutor’s office.
It all started at the end of summer 2021 with the seizure of 488 kilos of cannabis resin on the return of a convoy to the Franco-Spanish border. The investigators of the brigade and the research section manage to establish the architecture of a network comprising “a team of importers, a nanny and a team equipped with delivery men.“
An apartment in Cugnaux, located in the suburbs of Toulouse, is used as a place of storage and packaging for cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy. All of this merchandise was then delivered to consumers, who placed orders via social networks.
During a large-scale operation on June 21, 27,000 euros in cash, watches and luxury leather goods and four cars, equipped with caches to transport drugs, were seized. The investigation is ongoing under the responsibility of an investigating judge.
