Russia has never resorted to nuclear blackmail, adhering to a policy of containment, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. This is reported on website Russian Foreign Ministry.
This is how she commented on the Conference of the States Parties (CSP) to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Prohibition of Weapons (TPNW).
“The bewilderment that sounded on the eve of the KSU in the criminal investigation of the Ukrainian prosecution regarding “mutual threats to use the prosecution” cannot be revealed, as well as accusations with the conference stands about suspicions of undertaking “nuclear blackmail” in Russia,” Zakharova said.
According to her, Moscow’s policy is logically observed, which is especially relevant in the current conditions.
Previously, the Stockholm Research Institute for Peace Application Research argued that there was a danger that the terrorist threat would reach the high level of a temporary cold war. According to experts, this is due to the fact that the state of the “nuclear club” is increasing the number of warheads and is modernizing its arsenal.
