This Saturday in San Marino the Concert in honor of the Militias
Saturday 25 June the traditional Concert in honor of the Militias will be held at 9 pm in Piazza Sant’Agata di San Marino, performed by the Military Band of the Republic of San Marino, an event that after two years of suspension due to restrictions due to all health emergency related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Concert in honor of the Militiasa note reads, “ideally it wants to be a reason of gratitude to all the members of the Military Corps who over the years have served and still serve the Republic of San Marino and its own institutions”.
Guest of the annual musical appointment “is the Iberian master Josè Alcacer Dura who, being in San Marino for a few days of study and in-depth study with the military musicians of the Republic, will alternate with Stefano Gatta to the management of Military Band of the Republic of San Marino“.
Jose Alcacer Dura was born in Riba-roja de Túria in 1977. He studied clarinet at the Valencia Conservatory of Music, earning the title of Superior Professor. He later specialized in musical pedagogy with Jos Wuytak. He studied with the major wind orchestra conductors on the international scene: Eugene Migliaro Corporon (University of North Texas), Jose Rafael Pascual Vilaplana, Lorenzo Della Fonte (Conservatory of Turin) and José Cervera Collado. He studied composition with Franco Cesarini (Lugano Conservatory, Switzerland). As a guest conductor he has conducted in Argentina, USA, Italy, Austria, Spain and Holland. He is the director of the Ars Chamber Orchestra and the Stravinski Ensemble. Since 2011 he has been director of the Conservatory of Music of the Municipality of Moncada, where he holds the chairs of Clarinet and Instrumentation and Band Direction. He directs the Band and Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of the Municipality of Moncada. He teaches Conducting at the Academia Study, Estivella, Valencia, and is also a member of the World Association for Symphonic Band and Ensemble.
