Lukashenka allowed Ukrainians to pick berries on the territory of Belarus. Ukrainian authorities warn that this is a provocation | Community TV
June 20 State Border Committee of Belarus informedLukashenka allows collecting wild plants on seasonal, temporary short passes in the Belarusian territory in the landscape reserve “Olman swamps”.
Such a permit is issued annually, but this year Belarus issues its decision on its own initiative – Ukraine did not ask for this.
The border committee of Belarus said that the decision was made, “taking into account the established and at risk incidence among residents of the border regions of a neighboring country from the presence and prevalence of the sale of wild plants.”
From July 1, citizens of Ukraine who travel on foot or ride bicycles are allowed to cross roads in three versions of a simplified pass: “Mutvitsa”, “Khinichev”, “Selishche” on the way of the Ukrainian villages of Drozdyn, Berezovo and Poznan, respectively.
To cross them, you need a passport certificate due to the excess of the executive committee, a succession pass in the border strip issued by Belarus, a receipt for paying a fee for visiting the Olmanskie Boloty reserve, etc. d.
Head of the Rivne OVA Vitaliy Koval declaredthat such a decision is a provocation.
“The request of everyone to this registration and not to cross the state road due to the fact that it is closed from the Ukrainian side. We collect berries in our native forests. Clear decisions on the area’s defense council have already been communicated to you. Only in some communities it is prohibited. In other forests of the Rivne region, berry picking is allowed”Koval said.
Participation of Belarus in the war
Although the country’s regular military forces do not have a place in a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops have used Belarus as a platform for entering the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions. Also, Russia uses the Belarusian infrastructure for the deployment of its troops, relocation, rocket launchers and the restoration of the military.
According to the estimates of the monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun”, from Belarus to Ukraine from February to May launched over 630 missiles.
