Representatives of Prague 10 removed Mayor Chmelová. “The return of the godparents,” he says
Representatives of the Prague 10 district on Monday dismissed its mayor Renata Chmelová (independent for Vlasta) and Deputy Mayor David Kašpar (STAN for Vlasta). They justified this by connecting both municipal politicians to the accused Prague ex-deputy Petr Hlubuček. Chmelová and Kašpar refuse.
“Neither of them clearly dispels doubts about whether they are somehow connected by the current case. Their appeal was the only way to prevent them from further damaging at least the good name of Prague 10, “said Radek Lojda from TOP 09, which is in opposition at Prague 10 City Hall.
The Vlasta coalition, which consists of a coalition of the citizens of Prague 10, KDU-ČSL, STAN and Desítka pro domácí, ruled in Prague 10 in a coalition with Pirates and the ODS. Coalition partners voted to dismiss both politicians along with the opposition.
As a justification, Lojda stated that Chmelová is a candidate of the STAN movement for a senator and received a million crowns from the movement for the campaign. According to the TOP 09 press release, Kašpar is again connected to Hlubuček via the Prague organization STAN.
“David Kašpar was even his closest collaborator at the Prague level. We take it for granted that a politician in his situation should take every opportunity to dispel any doubts about a possible connection to a similarly large case, “said Lojda.
Dismissed Deputy Mayor: Absurd
Kašpar laughed on the phone when asked for this justification. “It’s so absurd, what and how should I distract? I have nothing to do with the case. I work in Prague 10 and this is a regional case. In addition, the STAN movement has taken immediate and swift action, “List told Kašpar Reports.
The former deputy mayor Kašpar already considers his dismissal to be an abuse of the political situation. “Our coalition partners have purposefully agreed with the opposition to weaken us before the election,” he said.
According to the dismissed mayor, there is no suspicion that she or other politicians from the Vlasta coalition were involved in the Dosimeter case in any way. “I consider it a purposeful appeal. The godparents are returning to Prague 10, “says the politician, who continues to remain a senator in the Prague 10 district.
According to Chmelová, this is only an excuse and the real reason for the appeal were the comments on the metropolitan plan, specifically on the Trojmezí site. With the coalition, Vlasta Chmelová is currently leaving for the town hall in opposition.
“In the last eight years, I have won three elections with the highest number of preferential votes, so I assume that people have long appreciated the work that I and colleagues from the Vlasta coalition do. I can only promise, I will continue to live better in Prague 10, “says the politician.
