Budapest Airport will hire hundreds of employees this year
Budapest Airport expects a significant increase in summer traffic, so the company will increase its headcount at a rapid pace this year.
The company is currently looking for professionals for a variety of positions in a variety of fields, such as project managers, maintenance professionals, but also terminal operations and information staff and system administrators, and there are also advertised jobs for engineers.

“We are on the move, recruiting hundreds of new staff this year alone, who, along with nearly 1,400 BUD colleagues, will be the engines of development for years to come.

Continuous training
It employs the largest number of security inspectors and terminal operation and information staff at the airport. These colleagues alone make up a significant part of Budapest Airport’s employees, almost 500 people.
It is characteristic of the group of employees that Budapest Airport helps a lot of young people among their newcomers, and their integration is supported by a mentoring program and airport trainings.
The latter, of course, places great emphasis on the company in accordance with international standards. The basic training of a passenger safety inspector lasts for more than 6 weeks, which will provide inspectors with invaluable expertise, including in the handling of state – of – the – art X – ray machines. Their integration into the team will be assisted by 62 mentors.
Over the past three years, Budapest Airport has devoted an average of 25,415 training hours per year to developing its staff. This means that a colleague attended an average of 48 training hours per year.
Programs and professional recognition
The director of human resources said that in order to operate at the airport, a lot of precise work is needed in many areas, as Budapest Airport has nearly 100 professions, from engineers to IT and airport traffic professionals to porters or sustainability professionals.
In addition, it provides a stable livelihood for the employees of Budapest Airport: our 373 employees have been members of the airport team for at least 10 years, but we also have 95 colleagues who have been working at the airport for more than 25 years.
