Orphan of a major midfielder for the Champions League, AS Monaco would have set its sights on Leandro Paredes. The Argentinian would arrive on the Rock with a view to replacing Aurélien Tchouaméni numerically and qualitatively.
Despite a recent contract extension until 2024 at Paris Saint-Germain, Leandro Paredes’ future is uncertain. At the head of the sports management of the capital club, Luis Campos and Antero Henrique would aim to clean up with a sort of workforce. Many expected departures, including the Argentinian, who would not be favored by the duo. At 27, the Parisian midfielder nevertheless hopes to continue his career in Paris but remains largely threatened by the announced arrivals of Vitinha and Renato Sanches.
Asked to look elsewhere, Leandro Paredes could find an attractive base while, according to information revealed by The Team, AS Monaco would try to enlist him. Indeed, the Monegasques would keep registering a reinforcement of experience in order to compensate for the departure of Aurélien Tchouaméni. The operation is estimated at 20 million euros.
