Legislative 2022 – Dijon, Auxonne, Mirebeau: who is Benoît Bordat, deputy for the 2nd district?
Benoît Bordat, candidate for the presidential majority, from the 2nd district (Dijon, Auxonne), won his duel against Catherine Hervieu, for the NUPES. The score is tight since the new deputy beats his opponent with only 51.70% of the vote. This is his first term as a Member of Parliament.
In the 2nd constituency, which included among others the cities of Auxonne, Fontaine-Française, Mirebeau and part of the city of Dijon, the duel was close. In the first round, Catherine Hervieu, NUPES candidate had come out on top, but in the second round, it was finally Benoît Bordat for La République en Marche who was elected deputy with 51.70%. A local elected official
Currently, Benoît Bordat already has several mandates. At the town hall of Dijon, he is sixteenth deputy to the mayor François Rebsamen. The latter also supported him during the campaign. It is responsible, among other things, for civic engagement and the duty of remembrance. he is also metropolitan councilorin charge of peri-urban agriculture, the revival of vineyards and vegetables.
Another hat, since 2021, Benoît Bordat is also a departmental adviser. He sits there in the opposition group “Côte-d’Or Lands of the Future Group”. A group that brings together various left-wing elected officials, around ecology. He was also a representative of the ecological party Cap 21. Ecology is therefore one of these strong commitments that he will seek to defend during his mandate.. He declares on this subject at the microphone of France Bleu Bourgogne: “It is not in the opposition that we will defend ecology”.
Rather the town hall of Dijon or the department?
One of Benoît Bordat’s first decisions did not concern ecology, however, but his personal commitment. According to the rule of non-cumulation of mandates, he will have to choose between his mandate as departmental and municipal councilor. A choice he has not yet made.
