STAN inspects donations after a trouble in Prague. 300 thousand from the businessman with ties to Redla will return
A court on Friday in connection with a corruption case in a Prague transport company sent Hlubuček and two other defendants into custody. Apparently these are entrepreneurs Zakaria Nemrah and Redla, who, according to police documents, was the head of the entire group. Police claim that an organized group of defendants has systematically occupied a key position in the transport company so that the appointment of friendly managers can influence various tenders in order to obtain bribes from the winning companies.
The mayors said today that they were re-examining all the donations received in connection with the case. They use the Cribis system and the Hlídačstátu.cz internet project. “Today, this combined inspection found a donation of 300,000 crowns from 2020 from a private person who co-owns the company with another private person who has a permanent residence at the same address as Michal Redl,” said the Mayors. The donations associated with the Redl movement will return.
The daily N reported today that the Mayors have received more than three million crowns since 2016 from people and companies associated with the Redl family. In addition to the deceased father of the prosecuted businessman, there were also people working in the bodies of companies associated with the Redls, the server wrote. The amount of 300,000 crowns then arrived the year before from businessman Pavel Manďák, who subsequently founded a company with Redl’s partner and Nemrah, wrote Deník N.
Mayors tested all donations at the beginning of this year. They responded to media reports that the movement had received money from companies controlled by companies in Cyprus and others from a company with a prosecuted co-owner. The chairman of the movement, Vít Rakušan, then stated that the financing of STAN was not in conflict with the lawbut legality from the point of view of the public is not enough. The movement therefore announced that it would return approximately 3.42 million crowns from legal entities and would continue to accept donations only from natural persons.
Austrian: Judicial politician is supposed to infer responsibility
This week, the Austrian announced that he would propose to hold an early assembly of mayors in the autumn due to the case, which should change the leadership weakened by the late Věslav Michalik and MEP Stanislav Polčák, who resigned in March. Contacts with Redl The Austrian plans to discuss with the Deputy Chairman of STAN and the Ministry of Education Petr Gazdík, he told the Seznam Zprávy server today.
Gazdík is not one of the pranks, but the police found out that he was in contact with Redl. “Petr Gazdík does not appear in any position in the file as a suspect who would claim that he agreed with Mr. Redl. (…) However, the whole situation at least a bad impression. I think that every judicial politician who is in a political position should derive responsibility and what an impression, “said the Austrian News List.
Gazdík wrote to ČTK on Thursday that Redl did not interfere in his political steps or decision-making with STAN. They communicated all the information he knew to the members of the STAN club. “I asked our Members for their opinion. I stand behind me, “he said. At the extraordinary assembly in the autumn, the movement wants to defend its party function. “I don’t smell any wine, I didn’t do anything wrong,” he said.
In connection with Redl, the Austrian will also deal with the Czech Post due to a meeting between the accused businessman and the head of the post office, Roman Knap, when Jan Hamáček (ČSSD) was the Minister of the Interior. “I try very hard to verify the cleaning of the mail and its cutting away from the strange structures that affect it from my feeling,” said the News List. The Austrian will also address the position of Knapa’s director.
